What is ISOKINETICS?
It's simply a new form of exercising that encompasses the techniques from each of the recognised exercise groups into a modern training system ISOKINETICS.
When training each exercise movement is slow and precise akin to Tia Chi, taking only 4 seconds to complete without the need for warming up; there are no jerks, impact, strain or pain, regardless of your age or level of fitness.
While the isometric resistance force during the exercise concentrates on the primary muscle target, the isokenesis movement effect improves the technique by working the muscle as nature intended.
Keeping the resistance force at a 100% constant during the desmondromic turning points of the exercise dramatically improves the muscle work rate. Additionally the secondary and associated third muscles in the exercise area are called to action and the combination of exercise and resistance provides a whole muscle area workout.
Deep breathing, part of the training technique, oxygenates the blood stream and removes waste tissue from the muscle groups, improving posture and lung capacity, leaving you refreshed and revitalised.
Isotonic repetition training of each exercise provides the platform for muscle growth resulting in weight loss, toning and shaping, while improving personal health, fitness and wellbeing.
What does it mean?
Deep Breathing - Oxygenation of the blood stream
Isometric - Keeping a fixed measure of existing strength against a superior resistance
Isotonic - Repetition or sets of exercises
Isokinesis - Constant resistance of muscle during the entire range of an exercise movement
Desmodromic- Maintenance of a fixed measure of resistance during the turning points of exercise
