Gert F. Kölbel is the worlds first “Body Engineer” whose lifetime endeavour has been consumed with improving the very essence of mankind…our bodies.
With over forty years of research into muscle function and sports performance he strives to break new frontiers in personal wellbeing developing unique exercise equipment, exercise routines and food supplements. Gert's lecture tours in universities across the world have launched studies into isometric and isotonic training techniques creating the basis of modern Sports Science exercise and development.
In 1957 using his experience as a gymnast and bodybuilder Gert Kölbel opened the first Fitness-Gym in Germany, at a time when the word “fitness” was unheard of. Using his own ideas and working on a fixed budget his first training machines were constructed from parts of old hospital beds.

During the early 1960’s Gert invented the world class personal exerciser Bullworker, which was bought by millions of people across the world, establishing Gert as the”godfather” of modern day health and fitness, which continues to this day.
The Bullworker was shown in “Bond” movies and the greatest sportsman of all time “Muhammad Ali” used it as a muscle strengthening exerciser before fights. A German Minister of Defence even used the Bullworker in his PR. Hidden by the mask of “Darth Vader” (Star Wars), Great Britain’s Hercules Dave Prowse trained himself and many international movie stars and sportsmen using Bullworker.
The Kölbel Training Research Company was founded in 1970 leading the study into the development of hand held exercising resulting in Gert lecturing in Sports Science Universities across the world. When NASA required a training device there was only one man they approached! Since Bullworker Gert has continued to produce superior personal exercisers such as Muscle-Gun, Body Master, Powerman and the Centrifugal Trainer.
The last three years has been spent on developing a sensational personal exercising device …the ISOKINATOR, a world first hand held exerciser that delivers fitness and body styling for men, women and children of all ages that can be used anytime and anywhere.
To compliment ISOKINATOR Gert has designed new ISOKINETIC exercise routines that will now replace the outdated training thoughts and methods of the past. Using only ISOKINATOR Gert continues to train on a regular basis and maintains his incredible personal physique at the age of 72.
