Fat Burning

The burning of calories through power training is greater than by any other kind of training.

Why?

Fat is burned as raw energy while training and this process continues as an "after burning", for many hours.

After power training the base metabolism is raised by 5%, the body temperature by 0.5°C and although this continued effect isn’t felt physically it continues for nearly 48 hours. Altogether this leads to a reduction of un-athletic fat. (Comp. with Prof. Weineck, "Sport Biology" 9, 2004, 501).

 

The Fat Stomach – a hormone killer?

Professor Armin E. Heufelder from Munich, Germany, states that a fat stomach equates to something of an out of control hormone factory. Professor Heufelder refers to a study group of 1,500 men where it was discovered that the larger the stomach, the lower the testosterone level and that this hormone imbalance works against the body’s natural attempt to reduce fat. In fat and overweight men the brain mechanism Hypothalamus malfunctions lowering the output of the hormone testosterone (the dominant male sex hormone that creates our sex drive), resulting in constant tiredness, loss of libido, initiative and motivation. Vitamin Activity during training
